So today i had to work a crazy shift because i had meetings in Idaho Falls all morning. So i was pretty much logged in since 8 am to 7:30 pm. It was nuts. Because we had to start so early; much earlier than are normal shift ( 1pm), we had to cut time so that we wouldnt get over time. So today i left at 7:30.
I dont get a chance very often to get off early -- or maybe i just dont take advantage like i should -- but because of that i dont see David (the wonderful bf) very much. So i came up with a master plan knowing that on Wednesday’s he has class till 10 pm (which is usually when i get off work). I had it all planned out -- i was going to make him dinner & dessert and i had 2 and a half hrs to do it in before he came home. So i gathered up all my things and headed off to his apt to make dinner. While finding a parking spot i noticed that his card is still parked in the parking lot -- but no worries maybe he decided to walk to his class, so i didnt think anything of it.
As i get to his apt and open the door -- low and behold there he is sitting on the couch skipping his class. I couldnt just help but to laugh because anytime i try and surprise him it never works because he is never where he is supposed to be. haha.
I think both of us were shocked to see each other because we werent expecting each other. I then explained to him that i was going to make him dinner, because i havent gotten the chance to lately and that he now ruined my plans. Laughing at me he said something along the lines of that he was going to surprise me and make me dinner and have it ready so when i got off work i would have a meal already and waiting for me. He went on to tell me that he had already been thawing the hamburger and that i wouldnt be making my dinner because he was still going to cook for me. (Extremely cute & thoughtful)
We had a wonderful dinner though. My only suggestion is that if you are planning on surprising someone makes sure they are where they are supposed to be.
