Albertson's Trip

Okay so today I decided that I was going to grocery shopping at albertson's because we needed groceries and they had a pretty good ad this week.
Here is a picture of everything I got.

There is a lot there so hopefully you can see it all. Anything that is stacked is just more of the same product.

Now can you guess how much I spent???
My grand total came to $141.38
(thats what you would have spent with out the sale price, coupons, and catalinas)
But I only spent: $55.11
Thats a savings of: $86.27

YEAH!! Way exciting right. Well and I could have even saved more if I would have been really paying attention. I hate how I always figure out other ways to save after I leave the grocery store. Albertsons deal was if you spent $25 you'd get 3 double value coupons. But its only one per transaction. So even though I spent $55 I only got 3, if I would have split it I could have gotten 6 of them.

Heres a list of everything I got incase you couldnt tell from the picture.

  • 2 Best Food Mayo
  • 1 Kix Cereal
  • 6 boxes of Chex Cereal
  • 2 Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes
  • 1 Betty Crocker Frosting
  • 2 Progresso Bread Crumbs
  • 3 Progresso Canned Soup
  • 2 Kraft Mac & Chese
  • 6 Cambels Cream of Chicken
  • 2 Cambels Cream of Mushroom
  • 2 Cambels Tomato Soup
  • 2 2lbs of Tillamook Cheese
  • 12 Dannon Light & Fit Yogurt
  • 3 Albertson's Brand Cream Cheese
  • 2 Sargento Shredded Cheese
  • 1 Ablertson's Frozen French Fries
  • 2 Frozen Spinach
  • 1 Tub of Ham
  • 1 Excedrin Pain Relief
  • 2 Darigold Butter

Christmas Came Early

So this year christmas came early for David and I because we decided that we were going to get a "big ticket" item for christmas and our birthdays because both of them are at the end of the year. So we decided that we were going to get..... drum roll please.....:)............

A 42 inch LCD TV and a new stand!!!!

(Sorry for the glare the blinds were open and I was to lazy to close them haha)
We absolutly love it and its so much fun to play the Wii on haha. David actually found a really good deal on the TV at ebay haha we only paid $410.00 for it and its brand new. He is really good at findig great deals on there. I personally wouldnt buy anything off of ebay if david wasnt here. :) I got to pick out the TV and i love it :)!! It was a little more than what I wanted to spend but when reading reviews on it and other ones this just seemed like it was a lot more sturdy and a much better deal. And after buying it it actually was, its made from real wood not the fake stuff. Another good note on my TV stand is that its much lighter than the one we previously had so when my big strong movers come to help us move in April, we wonnt be breaking any backs. :) YEAH!!

Thanksgiving Break

Wow so Thanksgiving Break just flew by and Im way sad that the week is over and school starts again tomorrow. But on the bright side of that only 3 more weeks of school till Jan -- YEAH!! But back to thanksgiving break. We had such a wonderful time! :) David and I went and stayed with my parents and got there sunday night. So we had lots of time with my family. Mon-Wed my mom, brother & dad had school and work so I worked on my long 15 page paper for my Modern Political Theory class -- which actually wasnt that hard to write. I wish I would have started reading articles before the break, but I actually got a lot done. Sadly my sister didnt show up till wednesday night so we only had a few days with her, Ryan & my adorable niece Ashlyn. She is getting soo big and is way smart. She is so polite too. She says please, thank you and excuse me. She's adorable -- you should check out my sisters blog just to see how cute she is! Just click on Carissa & Ryan Littleford from my friends and family list and it will take you to her blog. Our family is way into staying up really late, playing games and eating lots of junk food and this week was so perfect for that. My parents made lots and lost of yummy food. Thanks mom and dad! :)
Friday was probably the craziest day because my sister and I decided to attend black friday in Twin Falls! We actually got some great deals. Target had 500gb hard drives on sale for $60 which was half price so we each got one, and then i got some super cheap movies. We actually polled an all nighter because we played games till 1 and then decided that if we went to bed we wouldnt get back up at 4 am. So we stayed up and watched Twilight because I had never seen the first one and Carissa has read the books and likes them. And to my surprise I actually liked them :)! I really didnt think that I was going to because they just seemed weird to me but I did. We actually went to the movies saturday afternoon and went and saw the new one, which in my oppinion was way better than the first. For someone who didnt read the books i felt like It explained more than the first one.
Then Saturday late afteroon David and I went to Kyla & Ty's house for the BYU game and some quality time :)! They have a super cute new baby named clarke and of coarse two other super cute kids! We love doing things with them and are way glad they let us come crash their house for a couple of hours.
This week was so much fun -- i was so sad to leave. But christmas is 4 weeks away so I have a new count down.

Major Update

Okay I've been terrible with updating my blog. Thank you kristy for helping me get my act together with my blog :)!! So David and I have been back in Rexburg since September i think, well whenever school started. David and I have just been going to school trying to survive. haha we only have 4 weeks left but lots to do. Also I actually just got over the Swine Flu. That was a scary experience. I started to get better but then got pnemonia from it. I was out of school for a whole week. I think I made a dent in my bed because all I did was lay in bed. haha. Well I've gotta go I've got lots of homework to do. Sorry this was so short.

Were Moving

I know im horrible because I havent written/updated for almost 2 months. Sadly nothing exciting has been going on. David is just working like a crazy person and pulls 14 hr days all the time trying to get through harvest. He's so exhausted that we just dont ever really go and do anything.
On another nonexciting note school starts on the 10th so its time to move again. Im really not excited to go back to school but because the light at the end of the tunnel is so close, i've just got to finish now. David and I will both graduate in April. We are moving up to Rexburg on the 5th, but we will go back and forth a lot in the month of sept. But because he is working so hard, i get to pack and clean the whole house, lucky me huh :)!

A long time

Alright seens how I am so far behing I thought I would let you know what I've been up too. Right now David and I are just in Rupert farming. I've been working a bunch of random jobs. Right now I am helping his mom relandscape their yard, I'm clipping Senate newspapers for my dad, I'm helping out with the farm when ever david needs me, I am working with the city Refeering little leaque softball & I will start working back at Melaleuca at the end of June as a Hot shot. Not too mention trying to keep up with all the cooking, cleaning & laundry. :) So I definatly have my hands full, but I do enjoy it.

Time out For Women
This is in pocatello at the holta rena. They have speakers and musical numbers. It was a great spiritual weekend.
Grandma, Aunt Jeni, Mom, Cousan Rystan & My Sister (and me -- I took the pic) all went to time out for women this year. It was a lot of fun and it was nice to be able to just get away. This was actually the first time David and I have been apart since we got married and it was different. He actually missed me too even though I was only gone for one night. :)

The Green House
This is our green house. Right now its pretty empty because we are getting everything planted.

Its a lot bigger than the one from last year, but we filled in completly full. David wonders if he should have gotten a bigger one. I didnt take a picture from the out side but i should have. Maybe some day.
A close up of our plants -- those would be cantaloupe i believe. David's been trying to teach me what all the plants are just by looking at their leaves or seeds.

The water was on in this picture -- sorry for the mist.

I think his Tractor's Sexy!!

These are pictures of how we transplant our melons. Its really easy. Two people just sit on the seats behind the tractor and a wheel that is in between has spikes on it and it roles on the ground poking a hole in the plastic and then we put a plant plug in it.
Side view of the tractor and planter attachment

This is the tractor that we used to plant our corn. It was really coolr to watch it. You fill the buckets with the corn seed and as you drive over the field a wheel turns and drops a seed down into the dirt.

The Last Box

Well we are FINALLY moved in all the way!! I still have a little organizing to do in the office but other than that I'm done! It's so nice to finally get it all done. Some times I think it would be easier to just throw it all away :)!! But I am a pack rat so of course I cant do that :) oh well.
Right now I am just staying at home. I actually really like it. I miss work but at the same time its nice to just have relaxing days where for the most part the biggest thing you have to do is make dinner! :) I have actually really enjoyed cooking. But I will probably get a job here pretty soon -- dont know what I will do but oh well.
I have been helping david with planting in plug trays -- its not bad and I kind of like it. I will have to take pictures of the greenhouse and everything we've planted so far. I need to post lots of pictures its just the remembering part. We dont have internet at our house right now so I have to go to my in-laws or go in town to my house or something. Hopefully we will be getting some soon. Its just difficult because we have tons of trees around our house (which i love & it keep its nice and cool) but its bad because you cant get a wireless signal.
Well I've gotta run -- its been such a nice day here today so were going for a walk! :) Totally loving the nice weather!!

Last Day for Sen. Risch

Today is my last day working for Sen. Risch. Its really sad that I have to leave because I have loved working for him in his Idaho Falls office. This experience has taught me a lot and I am raelly greatful for the opportunity I have had.
Today for my last day Sen. Crapo's office is right next to ours and they came over and ate doughnuts with me and Amy our Regional Director. It was so thoughtful of them. I hate to leave but I know that I am going to have a really neat experience moving home and growing watermelons as well. I hope that I will be able to some day work for Sen. Risch's office again. I have really learned a lot and love being a part of it all. :)

3 More Days / Lots of Cereal

Well its defiantly coming fast. We only have 3 more days till we move. And the worst part of all is I really haven’t started packing or cleaning ahhh. I defiantly have a lot to do today. But I’ve got to admit it’s really hard to pack while David’s around. We just have way to different ways of packing. For example he hates folding his clothes and putting them in a suitcase. He wants to leave all of them on the hanger and just lay them down somewhere. I don’t like this way because my clothes always seem to fall off the hanger and land in dirt. Second he doesn’t want to unpack the dressers. He says it will just be easier to move them with everything left in them. On this on ya it might be easier but it makes it a lot heavier and personally I don’t want drawers sliding out while their taking it down the stairs and my underwear going everywhere. :) He is so funny about packing. I’m prolly not easy to pack with either because I usually think that I can pack better than him. When I was little and we'd go on trips, or moving back and forth to Boise, we could only take so much, but of course I had to bring everything, so I just got really good and packing really tight. Packing is like one giant puzzle piece to me and it can be fun it I have time and can do it my way :)!!!! So we will just have to see how it all goes. I really want to be down in the trailer when the boys bring stuff down so I can organize it and get it to fit tightly so it doesn’t move. :)

So last night David and I went to Albertsons. David’s mom told us about a cereal sale that they were having, plus I had some double coupons. We ended up getting 13 boxes of cereal and didn’t spend that much at all. On certain Post brands if you bought 5 (for 8 something) you would get a $5 off coupon towards your next purchase. So we bought 10 boxes and got 2 $5 coupons. This is how we used it. We ran the first 5 boxes and then ran the second 5 and applied a $5 coupon and then used the next $5 on the rest of our items. It was really nice because we saved a lot of money. We thought that you had to use the $5 coupon on cereal so that’s why we bought 10 boxes. But when we got to the check stand we were told differently and so it was a nice surprise to get $5 off our other groceries. But I was so dumb and didn’t think about using my double coupons on the $5 coupon. I didn’t think about it till i got home. If I used that then I would have gotten $10 off my other groceries and could have gotten $10 off 5 boxes of cereal (instead of just $5). Which mean I would have had store credit, which I could have applied to my other groceries! (Hopefully you followed all that) Darn my hide, I was pretty disappointed in myself because the double coupons expire today and I don’t need any other groceries because we are moving. Oh well it was a learning experience for next time!!!!

Last Day at Melalueca / Wedding Video

Okay so friday was my last day at Melaleuca. Well atleast for the next 12 weeks. I will be back at the end of June. Even though I will only be gone for a little bit it felt like I was leaving permenatly. It was really hard for me to say goodbye, even though I know I am coming right back. But I know that it just wont be the same. I hope everyone keeps in touch though. I will let you all know what its like to have your nights available!!! :)

Well my Wedding Video finally came. Don't worry I am going to post it this weekend. I left it at my parents house so I don't lose it in the move. It was alright. I was a little frusterated because it wont work in the DVD player like its suposed to, but it worked on the computer just fine. All in all though it wasnt my favorite. I honestly think my sister could have made a better one. David and my parents both liked it but it just seemed a little ______ . I dont know what the right word for it is. When I post it everyone will have to let me know what they think. And don't be affraid to tell me that you dont like it. Remember I am not a big fan of it myself. But oh well its done, I have it , and I will never have to work with that company again. :)

Wedding Pictures

So there is good news and news that just frustrates me.
So I talked to my Utah photographer yesterday and he said that he would be sending my wedding video and pictures and should have them by the end of the week. Hopefully they turn out good because he took forever. It took both me and my dad talking to him for him to finally get it done. I am a little worried with my video though. When I sent him the pictures of David & I when we were little then sent all small. I don’t know if he was able to fix it or not. But I will tell you what if the pictures are blurry at all I'm sending it back and he can redo it. He had plenty of time to let us know if we needed to send new ones. Hopefully it’s not -- he did say that everything is fine.

The news that frustrates me is that I was on Cindy Singleton's website (the one who I wanted to do my wedding pictures) and she totally had traveled to other weddings. She told me that she couldn’t do my wedding because she no longer travels, but she traveled to Utah to do a wedding in Sept. & in March. GRRRRR!

I Got the Gold Cup!

So last night David and I were playing Mario Kart (its the only thing we ever do :) ) and I totally beat him! Now I'm not just talking about beating him at one race -- I'm talking about getting more pts than him and taking the gold cup in the end!! We even moved the amount of races to 8 instead of 4 which usually doesnt help at all. I was so excited cuz I totally beat him by 8 pts. No it may not seem like a lot to you -- but its huge to me. He kept trying to single me out and just hit me with things or run me off the road (im always yoshi & he is DK) but I totally dominate ha take that!

I know im such a loser but its the only thing that happened to me yesterday! :)

(I wanted to find a pic the Yoshi with the gold cup but I couldnt find one)

House Shopping

So this weekend David & I went home for Deon's endowments. While we were home we went and looked at 2 different houses to rent for the summer. Both of them were pretty nice houses and 2 bed rooms. With the first one it was kind of gross because there were dead flies and spiders everywhere. Like not just a few but a TON! I told David if we picked this house he would have to clean them all up ha-ha. This house had just had the kitchen remodeled and even had a pantry. The bed rooms weren’t bad at all. The living room was a little small but not anything we couldn’t handle. What we really didn’t like about this place was that it was trashed on the outside. It looked like the house was in the middle of a junk yard with some grass. The house is pink with a green roof and in desperate need of a paint job.
The second house we looked at was only about 2 miles from the other house. It was a 2 bed room house as well. It had a nice big living room (kinda of an odd rectangle shape), nice big closets and a pretty nice bathroom. The kitchen is smaller than the other one but not bad. There are 2 things that we will have to get; it did not have a refrigerator in it. So we will have to get one, and a dishwasher. But there is no place for one so we are going to get an older one that you can hook up to the sink. David's Uncle Bryan said that they have an older one that we can borrow which is nice so we don’t have to buy one. This place also has a garage which is nice for lots of storage.
David and I have decided that we are going to go with the Second house. We're both excited to move in this April. I’m just really glad that we were able to find something in our price range and close to where we needed to be. And it’s not far from either family. We will actually be in his parents ward ha-ha -- crazy! :)

Wedding Bells

Alright its been a very long time since I've gotten on here and posted anything. But it my defense its been a crazy 4 months. So let me catch you up. So i dont know if i mention this or not in my last entry but David & I got back together on my birthday. Our break up only lasted 2 weeks. Then the week after my birthday he proposed :)!!! Exciting huh!!!! So then I had lots of wedding planning to get done. For someone who knew everything she wanted and be planning since forever, I had no idea what I wanted or how to get it done. So running around like a crazy person, I atempted to plan my perfect wedding. And by perfect I really mean perfect, everything had to be the way I wanted it and nothing less. But I quickly realized between a mother, a mother-in-law, a future hubby, and a budget It wasnt going to be the fairy tale wedding that I had always dreamed of but still an amazing one. I found the perfect dress, perfect sneakers to wear under the dress. It took us a little longer to find everyone's dresses. With 9 sisters to dress, they are all going to have different tastes. So we finally got all the dresses not for invitations. We sent out 900 invitations. David & I decided that between my dad and his dad they know pretty much everyone. So the day finally came and we got married in the Bountiful, Utah Temple on Janurary 17th, 2009! That is one thing I didnt budge on was which temple. It had been my favorite since I was little. And as an added bonus we both had lots of family down there that was able to attend. From there we had a luncheon with all the family and then split our ways. David & I took off to the Anniversary Inn to stay for 2 nights until we would fly to Cali. and go on a cruize. We took our cruize down to Mexico and had to stops. There was so much good food on the trip I really think that I gained 10 pounds. It was all you can eat all the time and it was all quality resturant food. And the best part of all is I didnt have to lift a finger at all. We actually brought back quite a few cool things. I have this painting that a guy painted on the street using stray paint and a piece of paper. Its really cool. Also at one of the places in Mexico we got to go snorkling. That was way fun but i was really scared at first. David actually lost his wedding ring in the ocean. Oops! After our week long vacation we came home to Rexburg to freeze to dealth. We went from 80-90 dgree weather to -7 degrees --- brrr. We then had our reception that next weekend on the 31st and the Best Western. It was so amazing. There were so many people that came through the line that we stood there for 1hr 45 min of our 2hr reception. But there was lots of good food!!! Sadly our cake didnt make it to the reception. On the way over it slipped apart because of the filling inside. So we borrowed Walmarts display cake and the best western made a little one that we could cut and have pictures with. We were able to serve the cake and it was delicious!!! David's aunt Sandy did a wonderful job. Once i get all my pictures back i will post a ton so you all can see of wonderful trip and wedding.
