Our Anniversary

So Today (Sunday, Jan 17th) is David and I's first Anniversary! Yeah We made it a year!!! haha.
But because our first anniversary fell on a sunday david decided to surprise me early and do something special saturday evening. He actually had one of my best friends Kym Warner call me up and see if I wanted to go shopping in Idaho Falls, just so that I would get out of the house. Pretty cleaver huh. Which I was way excited to hear about afterwards becasue one i just love to shop anyways and two that means that david actually planned something. YEAH!!

So because I uploaded the pictures backwards we are going to start with dessert first.
For dessert David made, yes I said made -- homemade cheesecake! And had strawberry topping for it -- which is my favorite with cheesecake. It was soo good, to bad I couldn't finish my piece because I was still so full from dinner.
Here is a picture of the whole cheesecake -- David had already dug into it to serve me by the time I got over to take a picture.

The next part of our wonderful meal was some asparagus -- which was delicious. The lemons were part of the main dish which of coarse I saved for last, picture wise because all of it was of coarse wonderful! :)
Next, is one of my all time favorite dishes. FUNERAL POTATOES!! Barb Bodily's recipe in the Jentzsch family cook book is my favorite and I make them as much as I can, without driving david crazy. Dont they look so yummy :)!! I ate so many last night plus even some sunday morning for breakfast :)! Hey its hashbrowns so why cant it count for breakfast haha :)!
Here is a picture of our wonderful center piece!! They are so pretty! David even had to cut the stems down so that they would fit in our vase!

And now a drum roll please for the main dish.........
We had CRAB!! YUMMMMM!! I love crab and was way excited that he surprised me with this. I would like to thank Albertson's for having a sale this week in their ad, which I just happen to have, which made this main dish possible. :) Doesn't it look sooo yummy?? Well it was haha, David even made me a butter sauce for it. There goes my diet but thats okay :) -- totally worth it. I even sacfrificed my finger for this wonderful meal of cracking haha -- I just cut it because of the shell. David even had to buy a crab cracker. To top it all off David even bought enough crab for another meal!! YES!!!! What a sweetheart right!
Here is a picture of the whole table. David even made it so that it was by candle light, which we lit my new wonderful smelling candle.
Everything was just so perfect!! When I got home David put me back in our bedroom and told me to dress up, and then told me to fix my hair nicely. Sadly I didnt get a picture of us, which I now regret because he even got dressed up in a button up shirt (which I love, being a farmer he doesn't wear button ups unless we're going to church). It was just such a wonderful night that every time I think about it I just smile. I really didnt think that David was going to do anything. But I was so excited so he planned something and I had no idea about it.
After dinner and while we ate dessert we even got to watch and movie and snuggle, which I loved. All in all it was such a wonderful dinner and evening.
